Have A Mint Birthday!

Kids' birthday parties always bring about a huge wave of nostalgia for me, and I've gone from being a willing participant in party games to being content to sit back and watch. My cousin has a knack for throwing beautiful parties, so naturally when her daughter turned one, I had to play paparazzi for the day.

I think I might prefer kids' parties, because honestly, they're probably the most fun to plan. I thought it'd be fun to share a little bit of inspiration since all the decorations were relatively simple, but still managed to look lovely. Decorations are obviously easily translatable to whatever purpose you want them for as soon as you've got a starting point.

One thing I've got to mention as well is how much fun I had helping my mum do the cakes for the day. While doing the cupcakes took a whole day, it was definitely worth it seeing everyone's reactions at the party. I'll be doing a tutorial post on making the owl decorations later on this week, so look out for that if you're interested in seeing how to make them.
