Let's just appreciate the beauty of instant photo editing that doesn't want my brain want to shrivel up and die. While I do feel slightly ashamed of myself for using an iPhone photo on a blog post, I feel like it's a pretty nifty segue into letting you know that you can follow me on there to see what I'm getting up to (if you're interested- and I wouldn't blame if you weren't!).
I know this post is a little late, but given the contents of this month's lusthaveit, I decided I really wanted to try the products before I got back to you so I could provide a little more info than I usually do. Also, take note that the clear reusable bag I fell in love with has made its return- bonus points already!
1. Teeez Head Over Heels nail lacquer in Atomic Dragonfly ($18/7ml) is a gorgeous deep navy blue with a subtle silvery blue shift. I've never heard of this brand before, but the packaging definitely gave me super high expectations. The bottle is different than what I'm used to, but it's still stable. The brush is definitely a feature I appreciate, it's wider- which means less fuss during application. The formula on this particular colour is mostly opaque in one coat, and is perfect after the second. It's quite glossy on its own, so you could skip the top coat if you're feeling lazy. I haven't had this on my nails long enough to attest to its longevity, but so far, I'm definitely a fan.
2. John Plunkett Glyco Peel ($29.95/15ml) is a god send if you've got problematic skin like I do. I've been using products that have glycolic acid for quite a few months now in an effort to reduce scarring, and my skin has reacted to it very well. Since the acid prompts cell turnover, it's also something you might like to try in terms of anti ageing. I can't say how it's been going since you're only supposed to use it once a week, but I'm hopeful that it's going to make my skin care regime more effective.
3. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo ($27.95/40ml) is another product aimed at improving skin. It's meant to significantly reduce imperfections and unclog your pores. This is one product I've not had a chance to use yet, but I'm very interested to see how it performs. Let me know down below if you'd like an update on how it goes once I get the chance to use it.
4. Orly Nail File/Toe Separators ($1.65/$4.95) don't really have much to be said about them, other than they're definitely must haves on a pamper day and you can never have enough of them!
5. Nuxe Creme Nirvanesque Eye Contour ($44.99/15ml) is an eye cream targeted at smoothing fine lines and reducing dark circles, the latter of which I've struggled with lately. As someone who has quite a dry eye area and is in need of a new eye cream anyway, I'm totally open to falling in love with this one.
6. Creme Nirvanesque ($49.99/50ml) sounds quite intriguing to me. It's targeted at people below 40 who are just beginning to have fine lines. It's meant to combat those as well as smooth and relax the skin, which definitely sounds like something I'd love to get onto.
Also included in this month's package was a gift card valued at $30 for Hello Fresh, which I'd love to try, but unfortunately doesn't ship to the part of the country I live in. I'd love to know if any of you guys have tried that service and what you think!
Total value: ~$64.65 (+ $30 gift card)
