lusthaveit! October 2014

lusthaveit's October offering screamed, "Get ready with me!" from the minute I opened it. I love the idea of having a pamper session before an awesome night out with the girls, and that's exactly what all the products in my favourite pink goodie bag offered.

I think the best thing about subscription services is being able to try something you wouldn't have necessarily picked out for yourself, then being pleasantly surprised by it. I'd never heard of So Susan before, but you may have seen a sneaky snap of the eyeshadow quad on my instagram about a week ago. The eyeshadows feel soft to the touch and are nicely pigmented. I will say the darker shades had a touch of fall out, but nothing major. The brand is also cruelty free- so if that's a must for you, I'd definitely recommend checking them out.

As I'm sitting here, I realise that my Inika black kohl pencil has gone walk about and managed to evade my photography efforts. I'm not normally an eyeliner pencil, but this one didn't tug uncomfortably which is a major plus in my book. Having said that, it's not the blackest pencil I've ever tried, but it's lovely to blend out as a base for a smokey eye. The Colour by TBN lipstick probably isn't what I'd pair with the So Susan quad, but the name is cute as all heck and it's definitely a colour I can see myself rocking with a bit more of a subtle eye.

Who doesn't love a face mask? Montagne Jeunesse has always been a sleepover favourite for my friends and I. They're super affordable, but still manage to get the job done. I strongly advise you do a patch sensitivity test before use though- I did have an allergic reaction to one of their products ago. While a rashy red face isn't exactly attractive, no lasting harm was done- better safe than sorry, though! I love facial oils. I have about three on the go right now, but I'm going to add the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse to that line up anyway. It's a multipurpose oil (score for my laziness!) that nourishes, repairs and softens. Sounds awesome, no? I think we'll be best friends. Also, bonus points for being a cute travel size I can throw in my bag. Last but not least, I can't forget the mega cute Glamourflage eye mask, because it's leopard print. I mean, can you top that? Didn't think so.

This month makes me feel like I've been spoilt with a day at the spa. Be sure to let me know what your pamper routine entails (because I'm so nosy like that). Don't forget, if you'd like to subscribe to lusthaveit! you can use the code 'LOVEABELLE' to get $5 off your first box. Until next time lovelies!
