Kylie Jenner Inspired Makeup | The Daily Face #2

I'm not what you'd call a fan of the Kardashians, but I will admit to stalking Kendall and Kylie Jenner on social media. And apparently I'm not the only one who's obsessed, since I've noticed my Youtube subscription box has been full of makeup tutorials inspired by them. I think I've literally watched about seven different takes on Kylie's 90s inspired makeup in the past several days, so I figured I'd get off my butt and give it a go on myself- and I ended up liking the result a lot more than I expected!

Face
I applied the Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation in shade #51 with my beauty blender sponge. I'm quite impressed with the level of coverage this gave me, because I actually didn't end up feeling like I needed concealer. I used the L'Oreal Nude Magique BB powder in light to set the foundation and give myself a little extra coverage. Kylie always seems to keep her look relatively matte with minimal blush and quite a heavy contour, so I skipped the colour and highlighter on the cheeks. I opted to apply NARS bronzer in Casino lightly under the cheekbones, my temples and under the chin.

Eyes
Using an angled liner brush, I used the darkest shade in the bareMinerals True Romantic palette to lightly fill in my brows. Again, I wanted to keep everything matte so I mixed the shades Naked 2 and Faint from the Naked Basics palette and blended them into the crease. To darken the outer corner slightly, I applied just Faint. For a matte highlight, I used Foxy just under the brow and all over the lid. I'm fairly sure Kylie likes using a liquid liner for her wing, but I opted for the Physician's Formula gel liner in black because it gives me a little bit more control. I don't usually wear false lashes, but for this look I applied the Eylure Naturalite 020 lashes for a little extra length.

Lips
Kylie's lip colour seems to be what everyone has fallen in love with, and I believe the exact colour she wears is Whirl lip pencil by MAC. Since I don't have that, I played around with mixing my own colours till I came up with something I liked. The combination I used in this look was Australis lipstick in Brown and BITE high pigment pencil in Honey.

*The day after, I found a combo I liked better- still using BITE's Honey, I combined it with Revlon's Colorburst matte balm in Elusive. It was a bit pinker and I think closer to Kylie's colour.

I think I ended up with a more toned down version of Kylie's look, but it's definitely makeup I can see myself wearing when I just feel like looking put together.
