lusthaveit! July Unboxing and Review

There's nothing quite like the feeling of getting home after a particularly rough day and finding a package waiting for you. Add to that being able to instantly dig into everything, and you've got yourself the recipe for a perfect cheer up.
I have to say that I'm really loving the mesh bag that this month's goodies came in. Mine's already made its way into my gym bag. I think I've already made it clear that the packaging is one of my favourite things about lusthaveit!, because it's nice and practical. Again, massive props here!

1. Marsk mineral eyeshadow in Rich List ($24.95/1.2g) is a loose mineral shadow that comes in a jar with a sifter. It's a pretty shade of gold, but I hardly got any pigmentation when I swatched it on the back of my hand. Majority of it was sparkle, and even that didn't stay around within a few swipes. However, it did perform better on my eyes when applied with a flat paddle brush over a sticky base. Honestly though, the shade is not overly unique and I'm not too sure about the price tag- I'd probably be quick to recommend purchasing 'indie' shadows over this one. Like I said, it's pretty, but didn't overly impress me.

2. Premium Spa ultra firming body balm ($9.99/150ml) claims to be packed with shea butter and anti oxidants that will assist in restoring moisture and improving elasticity. Now, I need all the help I can get when it comes to firming, particularly on my legs so I'm all over this at the moment. Application wise, it doesn't leave an oily film since it soaks in pretty fast. There's a slight smell I can't quite put my finger on, but it isn't unpleasant and doesn't linger. I'm looking forward to using this and seeing what the results are!

3. Ardell self adhesive eyelashes ($9.99/set) are pretty self explanatory. The ones I received appear to be in the 110S style which are the kind of lashes I like. I haven't had too much experience with false eyelashes to be honest, and I've never tried Ardell ones- although I have heard many good things. I'm not the false lash type of girl, but I'll be giving these ones a go the next time I'm on a night out.

4. Designer Brands nail polish in Shimmer ($6.99/12ml) is a silver glitter. The particles look pretty densely packed in the bottle, but they sheer out quite significantly on the nail. I'll probably be using this one as a layering polish since the glitter is suspended in a clear base. It has a good consistency, so it flows over your nail easily and won't pool on the edges. Dry time was pretty average.

5. Aveda Botanicals Kinetics hydrating lotion ($79.95/150ml) claims to be a quick absorbing facial lotion containing natural ingredients. I'll be cracking this one open as soon as I finish my current moisturiser, and I'm keen to see how it measures up against such a hefty price tag- so let me know if it's something you'd like an update on.

Total value: ~$55.65
