The Daily Face #1

I've always found it interesting to see what kind of makeup people wear on a day to day basis. I don't think I've ever had a time when I've worn the exact same makeup for an extended period of time. The only thing that tends to stay the same is my base, but since I'm testing out a couple of new products at the moment, I thought it might be fun to share.

I had class today, so I didn't want anything that was too heavy because there's nothing I hate more than feeling like I have goop on my face when I'm running around. I'm trying L'Oreal's Eau de Teint foundation at the moment- I have it in the shade 120. It's a water based foundation and from what I can tell, gives a lovely natural coverage when applied with a beauty blender sponge (which is also new to me!). I set my foundation with MAC's Mineralise Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus- this gives a little bit of extra coverage without being too caky and has been an absolute favourite of mine for quite a while. On my cheeks I just lightly contoured using NARS bronzing powder in Casino, and for a bit of a natural flush, I used theBalm's Down Boy. Of course, I couldn't resist using my Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in Dim Light to blur the appearance of pores and give a subtle glow.

I always fill in my brows using the Maybelline Mastershape pencil in Deep Brown. The consistency is slightly waxy, so it tames my hairs without my having to add brow gel. Primer wise, I used my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded, and I used Trick, Liar and Factory from the Naked 3 palette on my eyes. Finished off the natural look by curling my lashes and using my favourite mascara of the moment, ModelCo Fatlash. To conceal my dark circles, I used Garnier's BB eye cream in the shade Light.

Initially, I'd planned on wearing a bright lip with this look, but I ended up going for something a bit more low maintenance. I just popped on a little bit of NARS lipgloss in Deep Throat and I was all done. I've also included a quick little snap of all the brushes I used- can you tell how lazy I am getting ready in the morning?

Apologies for not having photos of what this all looked like on my face, but it didn't seem particularly interesting to me since it was all pretty neutral. I think I'll be including photos in future posts like this one if I do anything more dramatic. Let me know if there's any products you want to see a review on!
