lusthaveit! September 2014

When I'm taking photos for blog posts, I usually like the products to be in pristine condition with the packaging intact. I'm not sure if you can tell from the photo above, but I got a teensy bit too excited about September's lusthaveit! subscription and basically tore into all of it the day I got it.

ModelCo Lip Lacquer in 'Fire Red' is a lovely glossy lacquer. I found the texture and pigmentation to be quite comparable to Rimmel's Apocalips line, so if you're into that sort of thing, I have a feeling you'll love these as well. The consistency wasn't too tacky, so you're not going to end up with a hair permanently attached to your lips on a windy day. This also had a pleasant sweet scent, but it didn't linger.

I have a thing for skin care samples. In case that fact wasn't already blatantly obvious from the torn up packaging on these ones. I've already heard great things about Model Co's natural skin care line since its launch and just never got around to trying it out. I've since purchases the full sizes of these products, so if you're looking for a natural alternative, pop down to your local Priceline and give this line a go.

Manicare 3 in 1 nail art pen in 'Golden Girl' is great for anyone who loves doing their own nail art. I can't do anything beyond painting my nails normally without causing a huge mess, but this has definitely inspired me to give it a try. It comes with a fine nib, gemstones, stencils and a normal polish brush so you're all set!

The Cosmetic Kitchen's macadamia wax creme highlighter is a really interesting concept to me. It comes in a squeezy tube that has a flat applicator similar to tube lipglosses, so application is pretty fuss free. The consistency is a little thicker than I'm used to as far as highlighters are concerned, so a small amount will go a long way. It's quite a bit darker than what I'd usually go for, but it gives the skin a beautiful glow when blended.

I've used up practically the whole tube of Urban Skincare Co's repair body balm in a couple of days. It's supposed to contain restorative minerals that renew the skin after the daily stresses in life- which makes it sound like something right up my alley. The consistency is really nice and doesn't leave your skin feeling or looking greasy, and it absorbs pretty quickly. There's a scent that I can't quite put my finger on, but it's pleasant and for those of you who are sensitive, it doesn't linger long.

If you guys are subscribed to lusthaveit! make sure to let me know how you felt about September's products and what your favourites are!

Disclosure: The products in this post were kindly sent for review.
